Adventure rides may begin as early as June, however, official practice starts in July and runs through October.
Yes. Participation on the McQueen MTB Team may qualify for Physical Education (PE) credit through the Washoe County School District’s Extended Studies PE Options program.
Students can earn 0.5 PE credit by completing 60 hours of approved physical activity outside the regular school day. Team practices, training rides, and races can count toward these hours when they are properly documented.

McQueen KnightRiders is open to athletes from 5th-12th grade.
Athletes zoned for McQueen High School (which includes home school or other school options).
You’ll need a properly sized mountain bike (a dropper seatpost is a plus), a bike helmet, and a front light rated 1,100+ lumens. We know mountain biking can be expensive—please contact us if you need assistance or have any gear questions.
